The nose is intense, stretched, spicy and offers a nice stretched guideline. It reveals notes of roasted coffee, zan and small notes of rancio associated with touches of morello cherry, dried redcurrants, dried mandarin as well as hints of candied small fruits, Madagascar pepper, a subtle hint of undergrowth and incense. The palate is beautifully built, fruity, elegant, well-balanced and offers a tangy frame, accuracy as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of morello cherry, dried purple plum and small notes of dried small fruits, rancio, date, fig as well as a subtle hint of garrigue (in the background). Good length. A very nice persistence with in particular a subtle toasted hint.
