The nose is powerful, airy and offers a warm side and complexity. An invitation to take your time, to think. We find notes of violet fig, dried orange zest and small notes of dried lemon associated with touches of Cubeb pepper / Timut pepper as well as a hint of fresh blond tobacco, incense, a subtle hint of cardamom and an almost local dry soil side (sense of place / biotope). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, beautifully elegant, mineral, finely coating / creamy and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, tension as well as suppleness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied black cherry, candied kumquat and small notes of candied purple plum associated with touches of rancio, green coffee, undergrowth as well as fine hints almost pâtisseries/crème brulée, balsamic and an imperceptible hint almost sage/verbena (in the background). Good length with a subtle hint of toffee and an imperceptible hint of dried black olive on the persistence. Superb gourmande persistence, suave and very discreetly acidulous. An oustanding, elegant, concentrated and spicy Vin Doux Naturel.
