The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose offers depth and density. It expresses notes of dried red cherry, juicy morello cherry, wild blackberry, crushed blueberry, wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, combined with a fine spiciness (licorice, grated nutmeg, white pepper), a touch of roasting (toasted wood, coffee), roasted bouquet garni, dried mint and dried wild flowers in the background. The palate is supple, full, but juicy and fresh. It expresses notes of crushed morello cherry, dried cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, crushed blackcurrant, as well as gourmet flavors of cherry with chocolate, chocolate with mint, a pronounced but integrated spicy and woody hints, thanks to the concentration of fruits (liquorice, toasted vanilla, ground cumin, nutmeg, toasted wood, smoke), as well as roasted bouquet garni and dried wild flowers. The tannins are velvety and enveloping, finely tight on the finish, but balanced by the juiciness of the fruits and a beautiful acidity. A full-bodied wine, but balanced and gourmand.
