Quinta Nova LBV 2012 – Porto

The nose is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight gourmandise. It reveals slight notes of crushed Gariguette strawberry, cassis jam and blueberry associated with subtle hints of sweet spices, licorice as well as an imperceptible hint of spices/garrigue (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight acidity (in the background), gourmandise, fat, softness as well as a silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cassis jam and crushed blueberry associated with slight notes of plum, crushed red fruits as well as slight touches of chocolate, licorice, cedar wood and a subtle/imperceptible hint of garrigue. Good length.
