Quinta Dona Mafalda – Touriga Nacional 2017 – Douro

The nose is fruity, racy and offers power (full of finesse) as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, black plum and small notes of cornflowers associated with fine touches of wild blue berries, Sichuan pepper, black olive as well as an imperceptible hint of nutmeg and tea. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy / acidulous frame, a good definition as well as gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of small fleshy / juicy black berries, fleshy / juicy black plum and small notes of cassis associated with a touch of cornflowers, camphor, spices as well as an imperceptible hint of coffee (in background) and olive. Good length.
