The nose is elegant, fruity, complex and offers a fine concentration and depthness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of boysenberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of fleshy Quetsche plum, raspberry combined with slight hints of black olive as well as discreet touches of mocha, blond tobacco / caramelization and an imperceptible touch of black pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, complex, precise, straight, elegant, a bit aerial and offers a fine acid frame, suavity, gourmandise, concentration, a beautiful silky matter, tension as well as a beautiful power. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of fleshy cassis, fresh boysenberry, crushed Quetsche plum and small notes of fresh raspberry combined with a slight touch of fresh Gariguette strawberry, fleshy blueberry, a discreet touch of Zan / liquorice, dark chocolate / mocha, cedarwood, gray pepper as well as a very discreet / imperceptible hint of almond and cardamom. Tannins are elegant. There is a very discreet touch of coffee / espresso on the finish / persistence. Outstanding persistence.
