Quinta da Sequeira – Colheita Tardia 2015 – Douro

The nose is fruity, aromatic and concentrated. It reveals notes of candied orange, cedar, roasted pineapple and honey combined with touches of candied quince, candied peach, yellow fruits as well as delicate touches of flowers, with a touch of nutmeg and a discreet hint of spice. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful fat, straightness, juiciness, a good acid frame as well as a beautiful definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied tangerine, candied orange and small notes candied lemon associated with touches of peach in syrup, roasted pineapple, slight touches of mandarin pasta as well as slight touches of honey, cedar and spices. Good length and good persistence. There are slight touches of pâtisseries on the persistence.
