The nose is fine with notes of toast, blond tobacco, and vanilla. There’s a woody note present. The second nose opens with a little alcohol and touches of cherry and crisp plum. The palate is fresh, smoky with notes of cooked fruit. We find cherry accompanied by blackberry. The tannins are supple, saline until the finish. We still have this woody, almost barbecue note on the finish.
