Quinta da Lapa – Reserva 2012 – Vinho Regional Tejo

The nose is fruity, concentrated, elegant and offers power. The wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of garrigue, flowers, small toasted touches as well as a very discreet hint of zan and undergrowth. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, mineral, precise, straight, elegant, racy and offers a good definition, a beautiful juicy / acid frame, minerality, a good structure, a beautiful juiciness, freshness as well as a beautiful grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of raspberry, ripe red cherry / redcurrants associated with fine touches of garrigue, zan, caramelized oak as well as a discreet hint of Cuben pepper, almond and very discreet hints of undergrowth (in the background). Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length. Very discreet chews on the finish. Good persistence.
