The nose is powerful, racy and concentrated. It reveals grilled notes, coffee and blackberry associated with slight notes of blue fruits, spices as well as a touch of Sichuan pepper, roasting, cardamom and a hint of graphite. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight acid frame, a beautiful gourmandise, a beautiful suavity as well as tension and juiciness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blueberry, blackberry and slight hints of fleshy strawberry associated with a subtle hint of juicy/ripe redcurrant as well as hints of licorice, woody hints, cacao and caramelization/toasted hints on the finish/persistence. The finish is relatively gourmand.
