The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is complex, dense and deep, but requires aeration to open. It expresses tertiary notes of wet leaves, wilted flowers (rose, wilted peony), a touch of undergrowth and dried tobacco. We also find the fruity aromas of fresh black plum, prunes (even prunes in alcohol in the background), juicy morello cherry, dried red cherry, crushed wild strawberry, crème de cassis, combined with sweet touches of chocolate. with mint, rosemary syrup, plum cream, fresh vanilla and cinnamon, combined with notes of liquorice, cloves, coffee and fresh flowers in the background (rose, peony). The attack on the palate expresses more pronounced tertiary notes (undergrowth, dried mushrooms). They are then completed by notes of prunes, black plum, morello cherry, macerated red cherry (in kirsch), crushed wild strawberry and raspberry jam, as well as wilted rose, fresh peony, dried mint and fresh tobacco in the background. The tannins have power, fine grain and flavor. The finish is long, delicious, with salivating acidity and flavors of chocolate cherry and dark chocolate with mint. Beautiful structure and concentration in an evolved wine.
