(Bottled: 10/2009) The nose is aromatic and offers complexity as well as a certain breadth of the aromatic palette. There are notes of creamy blackberry, concentrated small black fruits and small notes of aromatic herbs associated with a touch of coffee, gray pepper as well as a hint of cassis liqueur and cigar box. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, tension, a good definition, a tracing side as well as verticality. On the palate this Porto wine expresses notes of cassis liqueur, crushed plum and small notes of kirsch cherry associated with touches of pâtisseries, tobacco as well as hints of caramelization and date. Tannins are integrated. Good length. It needs to be decanted.
