The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose expresses notes of tangy fruits (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, cranberries, a touch of blackcurrant), a herbaceous hint (blackcurrant leaf, even tomato leaf), as well as a floral touch of rosehip and lilac and a hint of liquorice and leather in the background. On the palate, the wine has a firm tannic texture, a bit dry, but fine, a lively acidity and a straight and concentrated fruitiness, complemented by notes of dried herbs, spices and flowers. We find flavors of roasted red cherry, dried cranberries, ripe strawberry, tangy blackcurrant, as well as blackcurrant leaves, dried thyme, liquorice and cocoa especially on the finish, lilac and dried rose. The finish is persistent, with herbaceous freshness, juicy fruits and a slight bitterness.
