The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is warm, spicy and savoury. On the first nose we find subtle smoky and meaty notes, which develop towards the sweet and gourmand aromas of dark chocolate and ripe fruit: juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, candied red cherry, black plum (even plum cream), wild blackberry. We also find the refreshing notes of peppermint, chocolate with mint, pine sap, rosemary in syrup, fresh basil, aromas of sweet spices (liquorice, a touch of toasted vanilla and cinnamon, white pepper and cumin), as well as notes of dried wild flowers, violet, dried rose, a hint of tapenade, toasted hazelnut and a chalky mineral texture in the background. On the palate, the attack is juicy and suave, with ripe and fresh fruity texture. We find notes of juicy morello cherry, candied red cherry, wild black plum (with its tannic touch), crushed raspberry, cranberries and wild strawberries, associated with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, cumin, white pepper, a touch of toasted vanilla), with a good bitterness of coffee and herbaceous and floral notes (peppermint, rosemary, fresh basil, dried rose, violet). The finish is rather persistent, with a salivating acidity which brings liveliness and energy to the wine, as well as gourmandise and the sweetness of chocolate in the background.
