The nose is fruity and reveals a fine power, a certain gourmandize. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy wild strawberry/blackberry and more slightly violet combined with delicate touches of bright red fruit as well as discreet hints of cardamom, light tobacco and a subtle touch of vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a fresh structure, a certain tension and energy. On the palate this wine expresses fresh blackberry, fresh/juicy raspberry and lighter rich red berry notes with fine peony, lily and a subtle hint of cardamom, fresh blond tobacco, a discreet hint of fresh cherry and toastiness. Good length. The tannins are mellow.
