The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is rich, ripe and offers concentration, even a velvety texture. It first expresses notes of dried flowers (dried rose, dried peony), fresh flowers (iris, a touch of violet), aromatic herbs (fresh wild mint, oregano, thyme), as well as fine aromas of sweet spices (cloves, cumin, licorice, white pepper). The fruity bouquet is open, straight and fresh, with a subtle tanginess. We find notes of wild blueberry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry and wild blackberry. There is also a fine touch of torrefaction: of coffee, bitter cocoa and toasted almond. On the palate, the wine is expressive from the attack and initially offers flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, ground cumin, cloves, grilled vanilla, toasted hazelnut and heated wood. It is then completed by notes of juicy and ripe fruit (with a slight sweetness): morello cherry, blackberry, wild strawberry, wild plum, prunes in chocolate, as well as notes of chocolate with mint, licorice and dried rose, which add a touch of freshness to the richness of the wine. The tannins are well structured, enveloping, but silky. A very long finish, full and rich, with notes of chocolate, dried mint and morello cherry jam. Beautiful acidity in balance with the profile of the wine.
