Poggio Santa Maria Tresa 2020 – Colli del Trasimeno DOC

(Merlot aged in barrels) The nose is dense and complex. It expresses notes of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, cloves), coffee, toasted notes, combined with gourmet aromas of morello cherry, black plum, strawberry and red plum, as well as chocolate mint and dried morello cherry. The mouth is tense, but gourmand. It expresses the flavors of dried strawberry, morello cherry, fresh black plum, a mineral touch, as well as the bitterness of coffee and a touch of chocolate. The finish is long, with tension and dynamism. Jutosite, a smoky and cocoa touch on the persistence. The tannins are sapid, with a fine grain.
