The first nose expresses notes of smoke, toast, dry herbs, morello cherry, fresh plum, prunes, dry blackcurrant, as well as fine floral (dry rose, violet) and spicy (liquorice) notes. The palate is silky, with juicy and dried fruity notes (morello cherry, black plum, dry blackcurrant, prunes, as well as bird cherry). We also find notes of cocoa, coffee, a refined spiciness (licorice, black pepper). The tannins are smooth and fine, but firm and structured. The finish is persistent with a pleasant bitterness and a touch of dried mint.
