The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose offers plenty of freshness in its aromas of tangy fruits and aromatic herbs – tart red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and blueberry, combined with notes of wild mint, cut rosemary, thyme, and tobacco. After aeration, it expresses notes of roasted (toasted hazelnut, coffee, chocolate), sweet, gourmand spices (liquorice, vanilla, a hint of cinnamon), and a sweet floral touch (peony, iris). The palate has an attack of good bitterness of grapefruit, coffee and cocoa, which is then complemented by notes of sour cherry, morello cherry, cranberries and crushed raspberry, as well as a touch of chocolate, bird cherry jam, a toasted side (coffee, toasted almond) and the juiciness of tangy fruits (cranberries, red cherry, raspberry, blueberry, morello cherry). The structure of the tannins is straight and solid, with fine grain, accompanied by a salivating acidity. We also find spicy notes (liquorice, nutmeg, a hint of vanilla) and herbaceous notes (dried bouquet garni) on the persistence, accompanied by a bitterness of coffee and smoke.
