The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with garnet reflections. The nose is fragrant, gourmand, warming and offers freshness and complexity. It expresses notes of very ripe fresh morello cherry, wild blackberry, fresh blueberry, wild strawberry and crushed fresh raspberry, combined with notes of dried aromatic herbs (mint, rosemary, thyme), fresh basil in the background, fresh tea leaves, flowers (rose, rose hips), as well as spicy touches (ground cumin, white pepper, licorice stick) and torrefaction (mild coffee, fresh toasted wood in the background). On the palate, the wine is firm, tannic and structured. The tannins have a medium grain and show a certain astringencyt, especially on the attack. We find flavors of dried red cherry, fresh morello cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberries, as well as spicy touches of white pepper, ground cumin, cloves and herbaceous notes of fresh tea leaf, basil and oregano. The acidity is high and salivating, which helps balance the dryness of the tannins on the finish. The finish is fruity, moderately persistent. The wine is fragrant on the nose, but rather closed on the palate.
