The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose first expresses savory notes, a bit meaty, and then offers a concentrated fruity substance, as well as fine spicy and herbaceous hints. We find notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, dried cranberries, blackcurrant, crushed raspberry, strawberry, associated with notes of blackcurrant leaf, fresh tobacco, nutmeg, fresh hazelnut, thyme and licorice, as well as a touch of wild flowers in the background. The mouth is tight (even closed) and tangy. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, raspberry, red currant, cranberries and bigarreau cherry, associated with herbaceous touches of blackcurrant leaves, fresh tobacco, as well as a spicy note of licorice and nutmeg. The finish is expressive, with salivating acidity, tangy flavors of red cherry and cranberries, a slight bitterness and a smokiness. The tannins are grippy and firm.
