The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers expressive spicy aromas, as well as a fine floral bouquet. It expresses notes of nutmeg, liquorice, coriander seeds, rose, violet and iris, associated with fine herbaceous touches (wild mint, rosemary, a hint of pine needles), as well as ‘has a resinous note of pine sap, which appears after aeration. The fruit on the nose is fresh and tangy; we find the aromas of red cherry, raspberry, red currant and blueberry, as well as a delicate touch of wilted rose and dried cherry in the background. The palate is juicy, enveloping and airy, with nice acidity and good bitterness. It expresses the flavors of bigarreau cherry, dried raspberry, cranberries, red plum and a touch of wild strawberry, combined with notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, licorice, white pepper), fresh rose, iris, with a fine herbaceous hint (dried pine needles, dried mint) and a touch of roasting in the background (coffee). The finish is tight, slightly bitter and expresses the drying side of tannins, but persistent and juicy. A wine with complexity and good potential, which seems closed for the moment.
