The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose expresses mineral notes (limestone, tar in the background), floral bouquet (rose, lilac, peony), slightly spicy (liquorice, toasted vanilla, cinnamon in the background) and herbaceous (wild mint, sage) notes. We then find the ripe fruity side (wild strawberry, morello cherry, red currant, raspberry) and torrefacrion (coffee in the background, toasted hazelnut). The palate is finely tight, and offers concentration, gourmandise and a tight tannin structure, a bit grippy, but enveloped in a gourmand fruitiness and a lively acidity. It expresses notes of very ripe strawberry, morello cherry, crushed raspberry, redcurrant jelly, a touch of blueberry, as well as a refined spiciness (nutmeg, white pepper, roasted vanilla in the background), notes of flowers (rose, peony) and a very delicate touch of torefaction (coffee, toasted hazelnut). The finish is persistent, gourmand, with good volume, balanced by good bitterness and salivating acidity. A wine with volume and a beautiful structure.
