The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose opens with delicate floral notes (dried rose, fresh rose, a sweet touch of peony and iris), distinct but subtle spicy aromas (vanilla, clove) and a gourmet hint of dark chocolate and of chocolate cherry. We then find a slight peppery note, as well as notes of tangy black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry), associated with notes of crunchy raspberry and strawberry, as well as touches of dried mint and bay leaf. The palate offers freshness, verticality and a tangy fruity substance. It expresses the flavors of red cherry, cranberries, raspberry and blueberry, associated with a fine spiciness (white pepper, liquorice, cloves), as well as notes of herbs and flowers (dried mint, a touch bay leaf, dried rose). The finish is persistent, slightly bitter, but juicy and fruity, with gourmet notes of cocoa. The tannins are well structured and fine. An airy, refined and well-constructed wine.
