The wine has a pale ruby color. Tension and freshness on the nose in herbaceous notes (crushed wild mint, pine needles, rosemary) and an airy and fresh floral perfume (fresh rose, peony, violet). We then find a tangy and juicy fruity notes (red cherry, crushed raspberry, tangy strawberry, a hint of crushed morello cherry and blueberry). A pleasant menthol hint that persists after aeration (liquorice, pine needles, peppermint). The notes of roasting and sweet spices are delicate and add to the aromatic profile of gourmandise (toasted hazelnut, cocoa, licorice, toasted vanilla). The palate is refined, precise and elegant, with an attack on tangy fruits (red cherry, raspberry, fresh cherry, a hint of blueberry and morello cherry), a fresh and gourmand herbaceous nuance (peppermint, a hint of pine needles). Then the wine offers flavors of roasted (toasted hazelnut, coffee), liquorice, toasted vanilla and chocolate in the background, a floral nuance that appears more on the persistence (dried rose, a hint of peony), as well as a persistent, sapid and chocolatey finish. Tannins are well constructed – solid, slightly grainy, but not drying, which gives the wine with a lively acidity a good aging potential.
