The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant, fruity, with an opening on dried aromatic herbs (dried mint, dried bouquet garni), spices (liquorice, crushed cardamom, a hint of vanilla), as well as cocoa, tobacco and dried rose in the background. The fruity material combines fresh ripe fruits (morello cherry, wild strawberry), roasted and jammy fruits (roasted red cherry, raspberry jam), as well as dried fruits (dried red cherry). There are also notes of toasted hazelnut, toasted wood and coffee. The palate offers indulgence, accuracy and harmony. The attack is fruity, subtly spicy and toasted (we find the sweet notes of vanilla, licorice, cardamom, star anise, caramel, chocolate and caramelized hazelnut), with a beautiful tangy frame of fresh fruits (fresh red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry). The finish is savory, expressive and adds notes of coffee, bitter cocoa, as well as a delicate tertiary hint (tobacco, undergrowth, dried rose), complemented by notes of roasted fruits and roasted herbs. The tannins are powdery, polished and sapid, with gourmandize and chewiness. Beautiful tangy and slender persistence. A refined, complex wine, all in accuracy.
