Planeta – Frappato 2021 – Vittoria DOC

The nose is racy and reveals tension and a nice little stretch. There are notes of fresh raspberry and crisp red berries with hints of violets, Cuben pepper, as well as fine hints of sense of place (almost earthy) and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, acidity, tension, harmony, positive bitterness and a light airiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cherry, juicy/fresh raspberry small notes of of wild berries combined with hints of laurel berry, pepper as well as discreet hints of fresh tobacco and a subtle hint of fresh nutmeg. Good length. A very discreet earthy character. A technically precise and taut wine.
