PietraNova 2022 – Bolgheri

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is silky, gourmand and very fruity, complemented by subtle spicy and herbaceous notes which appear in the second nose. It expresses the aromas of ripe morello cherry, black plum, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and wild blackberry, a sweet note of cherry in chocolate, dark chocolate, liquorice, nutmeg, as well as a salty mineral touch, a hint of violet, fresh peppermint and green olive in the background. The palate offers accuracy, straightness and juiciness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, black plum, wild strawberry, tangy red cherry and raspberry coulis, combined with a herbaceous touch of fresh peppermint, bouquet garni, a gourmet hint of cherry in chocolate and sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg). The finish is persistent, sapid, and adds delicate notes of torrefaction  (coffee, toasted wood) and a slight bitterness to the profile of the wine. The tannins are very fine and silky, the acidity is lively and refreshing. A very gourmand and airy wine, full of youth.
