Pierre Naigeon – Les Herbeux 2020 – Nuits-Saint-Georges

(organic) The nose is aromatic and offers complexity, good definition, a nice fleshy/fresh fruit as well as some floral hints. It reveals notes of juicy/bright cherry, juicy/bright redcurrant, and more slightly – notes of juicy purple plum associated with touches of star anise, cornflower/lily as well as slight hints of fresh tobacco and a very discreet saline hint in the finish. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a nice freshness, minerality, a tangy frame, some fatness, energy as well as a good tannic structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cherry, small fresh/juicy wild red fruits, and more slightly – hints of lily associated with touches of violet plum as well as slight hints of violet, nutmeg, and salinity. A good job on the good bitterness. Nice juiciness and freshness.
