Pierre Naigeon – Les Charmottes 2016, Vieilles Vignes – Nuits Saint Georges

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a fine richness, a fine concentration/power and a fine grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, strawberry and small notes of plum associated with fine touches of rose, small red fruits/redcurrant, minerality as well as fine hints of spices, blond tobacco leaves, graphite and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmand and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, tension, a fine grain as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cherry, ripe raspberry and small notes of plum associated with a touch of blackberry, rose/violet as well as fine hints of liquorice and spices. Tannins are elegant. Good length.
