Pierre Morin Ovide 2022 – Sancerre

Pierre Morin Ovide 2022 – Sancerre

(organic) The wine has a pale lemon yellow color with green reflections. The nose is fragrant, ripe and gourmand. It expresses notes of golden apple, gooseberries, fresh lemon, candied lemon, as well as grapefruit, white peach in the background, white flowers (honeysuckle, acacia, apple blossom), a touch of linden honey and a mineral hint of limestone. The palate offers a round, even slightly oily attack, with notes of yellow peach and fleshy apricot, balanced by a chiseled and tangy mid-palate. We find flavors of lemon zest, green apple, grapefruit, gooseberries, as well as a mineral limestone framework which gives a dry sensation at the end of the mouth. The finish also expresses delicious notes of white nectarine, a delicate floral bouquet (acacia, honeysuckle) and a salivating acidity. A wine with a beautiful fleshy fruity substance, a firm tangy structure and a perceptible mineral framework.
