Pierre Morin Chêne Marchand 2022 – Sancerre

Pierre Morin Chêne Marchand 2022 – Sancerre

(organic) The wine has a pale lemon yellow color with silver hues. The nose is airy, tangy, with an expressive racy, limestone and iodized minerality. It also expresses notes of candied lemon peel, lime jam, white nectarine, green apple and gooseberries, combined with a touch of fresh lime and lily. On the palate, the attack is gourmand, honeyed (with a good bitterness of chestnut honey) and fleshy. There are also flavors of yellow peach, crushed apricot, orange zest, crushed green apple, gooseberries and kiwi. In the mid-palate, we can see iodine and limestone notes in the mineral framework, as well as floral notes of linden and fresh acacia. The finish offers light bitter notes of grapefruit, a dry touch of chalk, balanced by a salivating acidity and a good persistence on the minerality and the gourmandise of candied citrus fruits.
