Pichon Comtesse – Réserve 2022 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, brilliant, concentrated, with a certain power, purity and elegant darkness side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, small brilliant red berries, and small notes of lily and iris, associated with touches of crushed cherry, as well as fine hints of almost colas, cherry pit and a subtle hint of licorice stick. The palate is well-built, supple, elegant, airy, delicate, juicy, gourmand with a lovely expression and purity of fruit, a certain airy unctuousness, brightness and nicely complex. It expresses notes of morello cherry, blackberry and small notes of small brilliant fruits, associated with touches of licorice stick, salinity/iodine, smoke, crushed cardamom and small notes of toastiness, a subtle hint of roasting and a very beautiful length and superb purity.
