Petit verdot by Belle-Vue 2018 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a small gourmandize, a fine richness as well as a good definition. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, Boysen berry and small notes of violet associated with touches of ripe red fruits, blueberry as well as a subtle hint of liquorice. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, tension as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, fleshy/juicy blueberry and small notes of juicy/fleshy red fruits associated with fine hints of liquorice, cardamom as well as an imperceptible hint of violet. Tannins are well-built. Good length. Good persistence and gourmandize. There are hints of bitterness of cocoa on the persistence. There is an imperceptible hint of grilled on the persistence/aftertaste.
