Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2019 – Margaux

The nose is delicate, fresh, beautifully racy and offers a nice finesse of grain and depth. There are notes of fresh strawberry, ripe blackcurrant and slightly more violet combined with hints of graphite, racy minerality as well as fine hints of liquorice, a discreet hint of vanilla and delicate/discreet hints of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, delicate, elegant and offers freshness, a certain roundness, a nice aromatic palette, a certain mastered power, accuracy and mastered power. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crunchy blackcurrant, crunchy red berries and, more slightly, crisp wild strawberry, combined with a subtle hint of vanilla, crisp blueberry, fine points of racy minerality, toastiness, caramelisation and sweet spices. Nice sapidity, acidity, freshness and gourmandise on the finish. The tannins are precise, fine, delicate, supple and racy at the same time. Nice persistence with a little chewiness on the finish.
