The nose is fruity, elegant and offers finesse as well as a fine richness in control. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, crushed strawberry and more slightly of pulpy wild berries combined with delicate touches of sage/eucalyptus and a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is mineral, fresh, elegant and offers a nice acidic structure, some racy power and good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/acidic redcurrant and more slightly violet combined with hints of salinity as well as hints of tonka bean, good bitterness and a subtle hint of almost sage in the background. Good length.
