Passopisciaro – Contrada C 2021 – Terre Siciliane IGP

The nose is elegant, nicely racy and offers varietal freshness as well as sense of place (local biotop). There are notes of fresh sage, olive leaf and small notes of fennel associated with pretty notes of red fruits (cherry, red plum, etc.) as well as discreet hints of star anise and a saline hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, gourmandize, tension, minerality as well as purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, bright purple plum and small notes of bright red plum associated with touches of star anise, black olive, almost oregano as well as a subtle varietal hint, chocolate and toasted. Tannins are supple and elegant.
