Pascal Renaud – Aux Chailloux 2016 – Pouilly-Fuissé

The nose is fruity, chiseled and offers intensity, elegance as well as gourmandise. It reveals notes of pear, passion fruit, flowers / rose and small notes of vanilla associated with fine hints of ripe citrus and a discreet hint of racy minerality. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, gourmande and offers a fine suavity, intensity, a beautiful freshness, a beautiful definition as well as a beautiful acid / juicy frame (ripe/juicy citrus). On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed Brugnon, pear, lychee and sweet pink grapefruit associated with small / slight touches of lemon as well as an imperceptible hint of flowers (in the background) and racy minerality. Good length. Beautiful persistence (with a discreet toasted hint / vanilla and almond).
