Pascal Bouchard – Les Vieilles Vignes 2018 – Irancy

The nose is fruity with some concentration and a fine creaminess. There is also a fine spiciness with notes of pulpy wild blackcurrant, creamy plum and more slightly ripe wild red berries combined with hints of blueberry, violet and camphor. There is a discreet hint of spice. The palate is fruity with acidity and juiciness. There is some fat and a fine creamy richness with good definition. There are notes of pulpy juicy blackcurrant, crunchy boysenberry and more slightly creamy raspberry combined with hints of racy minerality, small crushed red berries and hints of spice and a subtle nutmeg note. There is a certain finesse to its creaminess, good length and definition.
