The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The first nose expresses savory spicy notes (dried liquorice, nutmeg) and roasted aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni, roasted rosemary), combined with slight menthol hints (dried mint, dried pine bark) and sage. There are also aromas of juicy fruits – roasted black plum, crushed morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed strawberry, roasted raspberry, as well as a slight mineral (dry stone) and floral (wild rose) hint. The palate is lively, with a fruity and tangy attack, with notes of red cherry, cranberries, fresh morello cherry and tangy red plum. Then, it expresses fresh herbal flavors (mint, even blackcurrant leaf), liquorice, nutmeg and white pepper, combined with a hint of toasted wood and fresh almond. The finish is persistent, straight, with a salivating acidity and a good bitterness of grapefruit and coffee. The tannins are polished, melted and well structured. Beautiful freshness and energy.
