Paradise Springs – Cabernet Franc 2021, Williams Gap Vineyards – Virginia

The nose is aromatic and offers a small concentration, a small textured side as well as a certain small deepness. It reveals notes of juicy/pulpy blue plum, cornflower and small notes of juicy blackberry associated with fine hints of bramble, black pepper as well as discreet hints of crunchy red berries. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, suave, supple and offers roundness, a certain small concentration as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/juicy/pulpy black plum, juicy/ripe small blue fruits and small notes of fresh cornflowers/bramble associated with touches of racy minerality, small crunchy fruits as well as a discreet hint of bud/fresh sap, toasted almond and fine hints of fresh blond tobacco. Tannins are slightly mellow. Good length. A very discreet hint of roasting in the background.
