Panzanello 1427 2019 – Chianti Classico Riserva

(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses minerality (limestone, dry stone, even a bit dusty), which is then completed by fruits (tart strawberry, raspberry, sour red cherry, blueberry, cranberries, wild black plum), a herbaceous touch (peppermint, thyme, bay leaf), a floral hint (wild rose), as well as by touches of pepper and liquorice. The palate offers a silky attack, but straight and tannic, with a slightly drying and bitter tannins(good bitterness). We find notes of crunchy strawberry, tangy red cherry, tangy raspberry, cranberries, mountain ash, the tannic touch of wild plum, as well as a touch of white pepper, liquorice, wild rose, thyme and laurel. The finish has a medium persistence and expresses tight tannins, with a certain astringency, a good bitterness, a chiseled acidity and a tangy fruitiness, which is completed by notes of sweet spices (liquorice, cumin).
