On the nose, we find notes of fairly ripe red berries, cassis and more slightly balsamic associated with a touch of violet as well as fine hints of lilac and nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, fat, a small unctuosity, a certain gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, violet, raspberry and more slightly small red berries associated with touches of tobacco, bay leaf, a subtle hint of almond, tea, and a very discreet hint of cinnamon and sense of place. This wine needs time to manage the oak influence.
