Palazzo 2019 – Brunell di Montalcino Riserva

The nose is concentrated, complex, dense and tasty. It first expresses spicy notes (cardamom, liquorice, white pepper, cubeb pepper), associated with notes of chocolate and cocoa nibs with its tangy hint. We then find notes of tangy fresh fruits (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant), as well as flowers (dried cornflower, dried rose, lily). The palate is refined, juicy, with a dominant note of cherry and a gourmand fruitiness (morello cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, strawberry), associated with light roasted notes (toasted hazelnut, toasted almond, coffee), a tangy touch of cocoa nibs, as well as sweet spices (cardamom, liquorice, white pepper) and flowers (dried cornflower, lily). The tannins are solid, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is persistent and sapid.
