Pagodes de Cos 2023 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is nicely built and offers a certain concentration, a certain intensity in finesse and a peppery side. It expresses notes of violet, boysenberry and more slightly – crushed small red fruits, associated with an almost roasted-juicy touch, as well as fine hints of incense, infusion and a subtle smoky hint. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh, balanced and offers a juicy/fresh frame, good definition, juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, good definition, accuracy, notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright blackcurrant, and more slightly – morello cherry associated with touches of small fresh red berries, as well as hints of tonka bean, infusion, hints of cocoa and toast. Good length, sapid, gourmet and finely mellow tannins
