The nose is powerful, fresh, spicy, aromatic and quite ample. It reveals notes of bigarreau cherry, blackberry and Sichuan pepper associated with small touches of fleshy strawberry, gray pepper, violet as well as discreet hints of scrubland and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, suave, frank, slightly tight and offers a slight straightness, a slight acidulous frame, juiciness as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of red berries, bigarreau cherry and small notes of cassis associated with small touches of blackberry, violet as well as discreet hints of small ripe wild berries, scrubland, liquorice, spices and an imperceptible hint of camphor. Tannins are a bit firm and structuring. There is a very discreet hint of cocoa on the persistence.
