The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers freshness, concentration and complexity. It expresses the aromas of fresh morello cherry, dried morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, black plum, crushed blackcurrant and blackberry, associated with a fine and elegant floral bouquet (wild rose, lily, violet, a touch of cornflower), a discreet but distinct spiciness (liquorice, ground cumin, crushed coriander seeds, gray pepper), as well as a touch of dried rosemary, dried peppermint, torrefaction (coffee, very lightly toasted hazelnut ), and a gourmet touch of chocolate. The palate is full, textured, fruity and chocolatey, but at the same time offers a nice freshness. It expresses the flavors of morello cherry in chocolate, black plum jam, fresh black plum, crushed wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, fresh blackberry and crushed blackcurrant, combined with notes of mint chocolate, dried rosemary, fresh peony, vanilla, gray pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon in the background, as well as a touch of gourmet torrefaction (coffee, toasted hazelnut more pronounced than on the nose). The tannins are supple and fine, slightly grippy on the finish. Good persistence in the mouth, on juicy and ripe black fruits, accompanied by a refreshing acidity and a hint of dark chocolate and rosemary.
