NV 11 – Cain Cuvée – Napa Valley

(46% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot. 76% 2011 Vintage & 24% 2010 Vintage) The nose is fruity, fresh, incisive and finely powerful. It reveals notes of cherry, ripe wild strawberry and flower associated with touches of raspberry, cassis as well as slight notes of spice and discreet earthy touch. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, quite silky and offers minerality, an acid frame and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, red cherry and fine notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of juicy black berries, raspberries as well as very discreet hints of garrigue (in the background). Tannins are fine and (very) slightly firm. Good length and persistence with notes of juicy fruits.
