Nice amber color like a cognac. Shiny and transparent. The nose is fresh and aromatic with tangy notes of pear and green apple. Gradually, the undergrowth appears with moss and mushrooms. The aromas of grains are very present as well as a smoky side of cold wood ash. It’s different, straight and there is a spring side to this Single Malt. The palate is round with a suave attack. There are notes of butter and custard cream accompanied by orchard fruits such as pear and white peach. Vanilla is discreet. It’s delicious with a finish a little on rum, caramelized apple and still this grain side present of malted barley. There is a tangy side of roasted apricot and almond that concludes the tasting.
