The nose is slightly oaky, revealing notes of vanilla, cloves, fresh wood, nuances of white pepper, yellow apples and lemons. The palate is rich, opulent and woody with nuances of cinnamon, cloves, star anise, ripe orchard fruits, lemons and pomelos. The wine is nicely balanced between the oaky spiciness of the oak and the varietal fruitiness. The finish though seems a bit short.
